Flanged gate valve with post indicator flange - UL listed and FM approved for fire protection applications to max. 70° C water temperature. Rated working pressure DN 50-300: 250 psi, DN 350-400: 200 psi

AVK series 45 gate valves are designed to US-standards with face-to-face values according to ASME B16.10 class 125 (EN 558, ser. 3). Valve body, bonnet and wedge core are made of ductile iron which ensures high strength and reliability. Corrosion protection is excellent with all iron parts coated with fusion bonded epoxy, fasteners in stainless steel and stem in copper alloy.

Features

  • Fixed, integral wedge nut prevents vibration and ensures durability
  • The ductile iron wedge core is fully vulcanized with EPDM rubber; no iron parts are exposed to the media and the excellent rubber vulcanization prevents creeping corrosion underneath the rubber
  • Guides in the wedge and on the valve body prevent overloading of the stem and ensure a uniform closure and safe operation
  • Large conical stem hole in the wedge prevents stagnant water
  • Stem for DN50-300 is stainless steel AISI 304 with rolled threads. DN350-400 has a stem of high strength alu-bronze grade C63020
  • Stem sealing with a wiper ring, two upper O-rings in a polyamide bearing and one lower O-ring as the main stem seal
  • Round bonnet gasket fixed in a recess to reduce risk of blow-out
  • Bonnet bolts in A4 stainless steel, counterbored, sealed with hot-melt and encircled by the bonnet gasket
  • Full bore and clear way
  • Brass thrust bearing for low operating torque
  • Fusion bonded epoxy coating to DIN 3476, blue RAL 5017
